Cuando en relación a esta partida leímos la crónica oficial cedida por la organización del evento para esta segunda ronda en :

irremediablemente nos acordamos de Bobby Fischer!.
Era en aquellos días donde su madre lo tenía que ir a buscar al parque neoyorkino porque el niño no dejaba el tablero de ajedrez por mucha "lluvia" que cayese en aquellos momentos: ¡Primero la partida!, al margen de las inclemencias del tiempo… .
Quiero decir con esto, al menos en la opinión de quien les escribe, que jamás valdría la pena adelantar una partida de ajedrez para ir a una "aburrida" cena de empresa (¡las Navidades son para pasar en familia!), que insisto y en opinión personal de quien les escribe, no me dicen absolutamente nada nuevo que no conozca ya… .
El fuerte jugador local de 51 años Fernando Hidalgo (ex – niño prodigio del ajedrez canario), por sus prisas para asistir también a este tipo de compromisos navideños, tiró la partida dos veces: Una para ganarla y otra, más oculta, para entablarla.
Bravo por el joven de 14 años, Adrián Pérez Barreto, miembro del afamado Club de Ajedrez de Valle de Guerra ( http://www.clubajedrezvalledrez.blogspot.com/ ), por su ímpetu deportivo.
Puedo asegurarles que vencer a Hidalgo (incluso éste actuando con prisas) tablero de ajedrez de por medio, es una tarea nada fácil.
